Producer

Whether it's arranging, co-writing, directing a performance, playing instruments or mixing, Cade is accustomed to wearing the many hats it takes to help an artist or band make their musical vision a reality!

Recording Artist

Cade’s passion for music extends beyond an infatuation with any one instrument. It’s the way all of the instruments work together to create something beyond the sum of it’s parts that he finds particularly fascinating.

As a songwriter, it can sometimes be difficult to fully realize your musical vision. Cade has had the unique privilege of helping hundreds of artists from all over the nation turn their songs from rough demos into fully arranged, professionally recorded and mixed productions. Many times starting with something as simple as a cell phone recording of the artist playing and singing their song.

Recent Projects

Growing up with musician parents, music was the background noise of the household. It wasn’t so different from any other upbringing except if you needed a place to sit, you’d more than likely have to move a guitar or keyboard out of the way. Also, there was no shortage of cabinets; Marshall speaker cabinets that is.

Cade began his musical journey at age 6 with guitar lessons from his dad. But it wasn’t love at first site. “like a lot of kids, you kinda resent the things that you grow up seeing your parents do, for no reason. lol” In fact, it wasn’t until a few years later that he got “hooked,” as he says.

“The album Houses of the Holy by Led Zeppelin is the the album that first made me notice music, at age 11. If you’re familiar, it’s pretty experimental, dare I say, progressive. lol Many of the songs take bold left turns out of nowhere; they change time, keys, etc. And the idea that songs could be written without following any rigid structure or traditional formula is what got me excited about the idea of making music myself. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the traditional pop song formula as much as anyone. Truly! But growing up in a household where music was so commonplace, I think it took an album with such bold, experimental ideas to really make me stop and listen

Fast forward a few years to age 14. Cade begins his journey into recording and producing. “It started with me just making YouTube videos. I needed a way to record the audio of what I was playing, whether it was a guitar cover or whatever. My dad had put together a recording system with Cubase and a couple of mic preamps to use for some of his projects, so that’s what I started with. But pretty much right away, I began using the recording software as a songwriting tool. A way to get ideas down quickly and build out an arrangement.”

It wasn’t long before people started to notice. “I remember a friend of my dad’s asking me if I could help him produce a song of his because he had heard some of my YouTube videos and was impressed."”

Over a number of years, Cade began growing a network of song production clients that spanned all across the United States. Working remotely, Cade has had the opportunity to help hundreds of artists turn their rough demos into professionally arranged, recorded, and mixed songs. “It’s funny because having a career in music has never been my ambition. It all kinda just happened to me. Which makes me feel equal parts grateful and nervous! lol I mean, there’s no backup plan. Either people keep hiring me to work on their records or I go back to Walgreens! lol”

In 2020, Cade joined the Church Studio team as an audio engineer. The Church Studio is a historic church that was built in 1915 until later acquired by famed recording artist Leon Russell who converted the building into a recording studio and home office to Shelter Records in the early 1970’s. In recent years, the Church Studio has undergone a multi-million dollar historic renovation to make it one of the top recording studios in America. “It’s one of the things I’m most excited about! Being a part of a studio with this kind of legacy is an honor that I don’t take lightly. The facility is incredible, but we also have a wonderful team! I feel very grateful for the opportunity”
